YUNGSIX,YUNGSEVEN

Just returned from a friend’s place $ I was just served this hot plate of amala, but it’s too hot I needed to wait for few minutes,I don’t like hot food you know,Okay let me do something with my time but unfortunately PHCN gave us no-electricity,I couldn’t watch the TV,I picked up my little Nokia Phone and switched to radio option, luckily for me I turned on an interesting program in one of the local stations in my area, the guys on duty ‘Presenters’ were debating on the illest rapper in Naija I mean the Best Rapper in Nigeria and we(listeners) were given the opportunity to contribute to the show by voting our artists as the best through calls and Short Message Service (SMS)

Folks as at 20minutes which the show had run,6 people had voted for Badolee (Olamide),3 for Vector and 2 for MI and Iceprince respectively, while some said they love the likes of Mode Nine,Rugged Man and Eedris but can’t give them their vote. Everyone talked about all these artists but unfortunately non of them mentioned YUNG6IX. ‘Sigh’ how come he’s the best when no one mention him even for a shout south ?. But trust me this guy is Sick,I mean GOOD,PERSONALLY I don’t have anything against him and I see no reason why guys should go gaga and mock him that much, haba!!, No be him get hin Mouth?

I’ll like to take us back to our Primary school days,I believe we were all taught RIGHTS in Social Studies,we have the rights to vote,TALK and do a few things,so I see no reason why the 6 years Upcomer should be mocked just for saying he’s the best and more over he’s rapper,we all know what rappers do ‘Mouth-fighting’ ‘dem fit use mouth buy Dangote’… I don’t know if the word exist tho’ buh I know you got my point..He has the full rights to say anything, in as much as he is saying it with his mouth and thank God he is saying it to himself and he may even be a father of faith ‘Abraham Yung6ix’ dreaming in the next years and doing what the Lord says we should do (Proclaiming good things to our selves) so he may not mean it… *eyes rolling*

Mr Yung6ix can I have your ears? You can give me one’—» You being the best in what you do is not about how far you can shout it or type sh*ts on the social network,No doubt about it you are good but don’t let it get into your head.Your ‘follow me’ with wizkid was cool, Oh my Gosh is killing and d new one you just did with DJ Neptune isn’t bad at all, DJ khaleed had shouted ‘WE THE BEST’ up to 50 times and more, that doesn’t make him d hottest and if you wanted to use it as a Publicity Stunt like Poko Queen and OluwaBurna, it’s so unfortunate it back fired, Try again later and you don’t need to change your name to Yung Seven as a fan said,, lol

I wish u the best in your Career

LAUTECH WRITER ATTACKS OAU,UI,EKSU AND UNILORIN AS HE CALLS LAUTECH THE BEST IN NIGERIA

LAUTECH has for years now been in the news as an unstable University courtesy of Power Tussle- Ownership Issue, Students protest due to bluffly refusal of unfavourable policies by the school authority; death of fellows courtesy of insecurity and lots more. More-so, the image of LAUTECH is being painted black with issues that generated only from this about to end semester. The death of a student which led to days of peaceful demonstrations (world grossly misinformed); the killing of a lady for ritual, by her boyfriend; the EFCC arrest, detain and sentence of a student to three (3) years imprisonment for internet fraud.

All these gives people bad impressions about the school. Students of other schools see LAUTECH Students as scoundrels; but the fact that they heard of a Lautech Student who killed his girlfriend for ritual doesn’t make all Lautech Students ritualists; that they read and heard in the news of a Ladokite whom EFCC arrested, detained and sentenced to three (3) years imprisonment for internet fraud/cyber-crime, doesn’t make all Ladokites Scammers, Fraudsters and Cyber Criminals.

Drawing conclusions based on small size, rather than looking at statistics that are much more in line with the typical or average situation is unacceptable. It’s worth condemning making a hasty conclusion about our School without considering all of variables. These have blindfolded many eyes from seeing the better side of our school. They had better look beyond this secundum quid and stop the intentional exclusion of evidences to a bias conclusion.

There are Cyber-criminals, Ritualists, Internet Fraudsters in other Universities as seen in LAUTECH. What’s happening in LAUTECH also happens in mostly all Universities in this country, it’s just that the media gives so much attention to issues generating from our school. Therefore, the LAUTECH situation has generated so many controversies and arguments between our Students and others, most especially the Students of University of Ibadan (UI), Obafemi Awolowo University (UI) and University of Ilorin (UNILORIN); all claiming the best is their school.

Their noise am sick and tired of. UI Students claims to be the Best because of the school being the First, OAU Students claims their School is the Greatest while Students of UNILORIN claims they’re Better by Far. Whatever! Truth be told, they’re all living on past glories and now becoming gongs & cymbals adding no harmonious tones to songs.

LAUTECH was founded in 1990; it is only 23 years old, so it is young and still developing. LAUTECH as an institution cannot be compared to UI, OAU and other first generation Universities based on its age, and infrastructures available. In the above mentioned schools, all the infrastructures more less are in place and what is only needed to be done is to maintain these facilities. LAUTECH is still growing and there are many things to be put in place for it to accomplish it aims and objectives.

LAUTECH is still fighting hard to find its feet I must admit, still with this situation, its products are first to be reckon with in the labour market. Ladokites competes favourably well with graduates from other universities, there are a lot of testimonials to the effect. Despite the trials and upheavals LAUTECH faces, it’s growing strong and stronger, and strengths of its Students waxing stronger. That’s the reason we’re Sound, Agile, Active and SMART.

Sincerely, what sickens me most about the Students of UI & OAU is that of a baseless argument they always engross in; before you could make a point to buttress, ‘do you know how many Professors we’ve produced? Most of all the lecturers of Universities in Nigeria are our products. The Vice-Chancellor of your school is a product of our school’, they says, it has always been that same point. Shut-Up! Your school made them Professors or their commitment, resilient, dedication and hard-work?

Ehn-ehn, where would the lecturers have schooled if not your school which is the first in the country. The fact that my Vice-Chancellor is a product of your school doesn’t make your school far better. You claims to have Beautiful structures, Smart Lecture Halls, and the largest Lecture Theatre in West Africa or even in Africa while LAUTECH builds Sheds; Yes, of course we build sheds but the products of our sheds competes head-to-head with your products of Smart Lecture Halls and big Lecture Theatres; shouldn’t you guys shut up and bury your heads in shame.

If UI & OAU Students are raising eyebrows, UNILORIN Students should better keep quiet. What is even special about UNILORIN; is it the ‘Ki-ra-mosa & Bo-wowo’ style of learning they engage in??? These guys fails to understand that University is a Citadel of Learning not only reading and studying books or making researches but also giving exposure to life. In LAUTECH, you get exposed to what LIFE means…you garner experience and memories you can never let go.

FUTA Students, you also claim your school is the best? Please better go solve the puzzle that brings “Tension” & “Agony” in that Federal University of yours. Truth be told, UI and OAU are living on past glories; University education is not about living on past glories but on the students’ capacity to be good in all areas of life; One way to measure the quality of a school is not by Nigeria University Commission’s ranking but by its products. Being rated 1st by NUC doesn’t make you the best.

You guys had better not get caught up with past glories; stop depending on glories of the past, and start molding yourselves; get a life, make names yourselves and stop the issue of how many pot-bellied professors you produced. Also, graduating from UI or OAU doesn’t make you better than someone that graduates from the ripped-apart University of Ado Ekiti (UNAD now EKSU) or other schools. Your God’s given aptitude and hardwork are more important. Your university will not determine your success; it may only have impact on you. Being a good student depends on your personal ability, brain, talent and how vast you are!

As long as am concerned, LAUTECH remains the best; it’s not all about infrastructures, it’s all about knowledge and how the school can impact life into you. LAUTECH is a young flower just budding and when the fragrances of the older flowers are gone and they are withered, LAUTECH will be in its full glory. Forget the “FIRST AND THE BEST” Trumpeters, the “GREAT IFE” shouters, and the “BETTER BY FAR” Criers; LAUTECH remains the best University in Nigeria and the World at large, like it or loathe it. No matter how black they may paint us, we’ll always lead while others follow.

Imo State University Student Arrested For 48 Thousand Dollars Internet Fraud

The News on our lipz before was abt One of the Lautech wire crew who was arrested for internet scam, but it seems Lautech has dropped the trophy for another school to carry

A 22-year-old student of Imo State University, Chibuzor Akobundu, has been arrested by operatives of Special Fraud Unit, Ikoyi, for allegedly swindling foreign women to the tune of $48,000 through a dating website.

Speaking with journalists yesterday, while being paraded alongside two staff of a second generation bank, who allegedly facilitated the withdrawal of money via Western Union Money Transfer, the suspect in his final year in school said he adopted Devon Miles as his name and posted a photograph of an unknown American citizen as his profile on the dating site.

He confessed to have swindled five American single women within the ages of 40 and 50, in search for husbands.

He gave the name of his first victim as Antoinette. He promised to marry her and was able to dupe her of $16,000 before she suspected he was a fraudster.

Others were Jettie Simpson, who reportedly sent $5,000; Shelly Bashir, $100; Billie Klock, $13,000, in a relationship that reportedly lasted for five months, and Andrea Desena, $8,000.

“I started browsing the dating site three years ago, posing as a US citizen residing in Nigeria.

“At that time, it was a common game around my area in Ikeja. Along the line I met these ladies who were looking for husbands.

“They fell in love with me because of my profile, where I stated that I was a 49-year-old divorcee in search of a wife. I claimed to be an engineer.

“I would tell them I was stranded in Nigeria and needed some money to travel back to US and they would send the money via Western Union.

“At other times, I would tell them that my daughter was sick and that I needed money to offset her hospital bill and they would fall for the trick. I have never used charm to hypnotise any of them.

“My parents were never aware of what I was into because anytime I got a reasonable amount, I would travel to South Africa and squander the money.

“My regret is that I never used the money for anything tangible, to avoid suspicion. My mum is a teacher, while my father is a businessman and have been responsible for the payment of my school fees.

Spokesperson for SFU, Ngozi Insitume-Agu, while explaining how Akobundu was arrested, said: “The arrest followed a petition via the Unit’s website from one Amelia Brosick, a US citizen, dated April 16, 2013, where she alleged that one Devon Miles, suspected to be a Nigerian, defrauded her to the tune of $16,439 using different tactics.

“She added that she met the suspect on a dating site in June 2012, and the suspect, under the guise of dating her for the purpose of marriage, obtained the alleged sum fraudulently through Western Union.

“Armed with the petition, Western Union was contacted and they sent a detailed spread sheet showing all the transfers in the name of the suspect.
“Following the information, the duo of Nnamdi Nwakwue Dike and Olawale Oguniran attached to Western Union in Skye Bank, Owerri and Allen Avenue, Ikeja, branches, respectively, were arrested.

“Their revealing statements led to the arrest of the serial internet fraudster, Chibuzor Akobundun also known as Devon Miles, Martin Williams and Sani Bala Ismaila. He adopted Devon as the internet name, but opened the account in the name of Martin Williams.

“He confessed that he provided the bank staff with the photocopy of his identity card so that they could withdraw the monies, while he gave them some percentage.

“The bank staff also confessed that they used Uche’s particulars to withdraw money from other persons’ accounts without his knowledge.”
However, Dike of the Owerri branch denied knowledge of what Akobundun was into. He maintained that he was only doing his job as a front-line teller staff of the bank, adding that he had never at any time paid Akobundu above the stipulated amount.

“Anytime he came to collect the money, he would answer the question given correctly, including the secret code.

“Mine is to ascertain whether the details corresponded with what was in the system at the end of which I would hand his money over to him,” Dike said.

Asked if he received any gratification from Akobundu, he said he was given tips of N1,000 or N2,000 at times, just like some other bank customers do.

Meet the OAU Student Who Gave Birth Inside Toilet & Her Baby

When the news first broke, a lot of people vilified her. It was reported that she wanted to get rid of what many would describe as a bundle of joy. People thus wondered why a 22-year-old undergraduate would try to flush away her baby in one of the toilets in Moremi Hall, her hall of residence at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State.

The photo above is that Oyinlola Rotimi, a 400-Level student of OAU and her baby. She has now revealed the circumstances that led to her controversial delivery of the baby inside toilet…

Segun Olugbile and Sodiq Oyeleke of Punch narrate the dramatic story of this 22-year-old student. Without clarifying the circumstances that led to the delivery in the toilet, many on the social media put Miss Oyinlola Rotimi on trial.

The student of Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology at OAU delivered a baby boy last Wednesday.

While the news went round the campus, the traumatised young mother was hurriedly taken to the institution’s Health Centre by two cleaners, Mrs. Shipebi Grace and Mrs. Cecilia Ologbenla. The social media was further flooded with stories that Oyinlola wanted to kill her baby. The OAU management investigated the matter and found out it was not true. Rotimi, who was discharged from the hospital on Friday, has also narrated her own side of the story.

In spite of the trauma she had passed through since last Wednesday, the student, a native of Ijabe, a border town between Osun and Kwara states, says she is happy that the embarrassment she received from the controversy that surrounded the birth of her baby has turned into a blessing for her.

She says the baby’s birth has made her more popular and important in the society.

‘God has the best plan for me’

“Why would I flush or kill my baby after going through the pains of carrying him for about good nine months? I am not heartless and I thank God for my life and the safe delivery. I know God has the best plan for me and my baby. I seriously appreciate the cleaners for their assistance because I got here (health centre) before I understood everything that happened to me. I am happy that I am alive and my baby is alive too. I’m also using this opportunity to thank the VC, the doctors and nurses, my lecturers and everybody because they all stood by me. They all became my father, my mother and everything to me.

“Right now, I can call myself a celebrity and definitely I’m going to be greater than a celebrity. My baby too is going to be great. Look at the circumstance that surrounds his birth, just some days old, he is already all over in the news around the world and everybody is happy to see him or hear about his story. He will surely go beyond where I am now. He has turned me into a kind of celebrity. ”

Circumstances surrounding the baby’s birth

“I was purging all through the night and I had no idea of what labour pain was all about. Actually, I was feeling pressed, I can’t call it a labour pain because I was visiting the toilet all through the night till that morning. I just went to the toilet to go and purge when I noticed something just came out of me which I found out was the baby. The baby entered the closet. I was just there shouting, bleeding and people who saw the blood came out to help me alongside the baby.

“I was really scared! I was not expecting a baby. I went to the toilet but seeing a baby was terrifying because I was not expecting him or her to come out yet. It is absolutely not true that I took to my heels when people came to help me. It happened in Moremi Hall toilet and the toilet is a public one where everybody takes their bath, fetch water and clean up. So, some people were around fetching water, having their bath as usual, while I was in the toilet planning to defecate. My friend called the cleaner for help because she was an elderly woman. I was very scared and people around too couldn’t help because we are all young female students. The cleaner later helped to carry the baby out and brought it to the Health Centre along with me.”

Her plan for the baby

“I will continue to keep him more handsome, healthier and nurture him to attain greater height in life. But what he will become later in life is not for me to decide but he will definitely become what God wants him to become. I will just try to train him in God’s way and I am sure His (God) plan for his life will be realised.”

The bean cake she ate deceived her – CSO

According to the institution’s Chief Security Officer, Mr. Paul Ogidi, Rotimi thought she had stomach upset instead of labour pains because of the bean cake she took before going to bed.

“She got to campus late at night on Tuesday and it was learnt that she could not immediately get herself something to eat but later resolved to buy beans cake within the campus. After eating the snack, she complained severely of running stomach, urinated and defecated at regular intervals.

“She felt her stomach disorder was caused by the bean cake that she took the previous night – not knowing it was labour pains.”

University law does not forbid pregnancy – OAU

Authorities of OAU have blamed the improper use of the social media for the allegation that Oyinlola attempted to flush her baby away.

The Head of Public Relations, Mr. Biodun Olarenwaju, who spoke on behalf of the management, described the incident as a “social media rumour.”

He said, “Social media is designed primarily to disseminate information. But in the Nigerian context, many people disseminate rumours. The only information that should be seen there should be those persons who have the authority to speak concerning that particular incident.

“The only truth in the social media episode is that a bouncing baby boy was delivered in the toilet of the female hostel in our university. Other tales on the social media were totally incorrect. Students should not encourage rumour mongering because of the image of the person involved. They have to be careful not to make rumour the news.”

He explained that it was legal for the student to have delivered the baby in the school, stating that universities are institutions for adults.

“It is not a crime for a student to be pregnant. There is no law or decree that states that a student should be punished, an adult for that matter, for getting pregnant. And there is no law in this university that states that an undergraduate cannot become pregnant,” he added.

‘My friend didn’t plan to kill her baby’

Rotimi’s friend, Oluwayemisi Satope, who was in Room 103, Block B of Moremi Hall, together with the undergraduate mother, the night before the incident, said Oyinlola was willing to have the baby.

She explained that there was no attempt by them to kill the boy.

She added, “The truth of the matter is that we don’t know how to go about it when we saw the baby. It was our first time and we didn’t want to make a mistake. I had to call Mama Cleaner to assist us. Immediately it happened, I was the first person to shout for help and two cleaners appeared to assist.

“Diana (Rotimi) had to spend the night on campus to enable her to prepare for her 8:00 am examination the next day, because she stays off-campus. That mid-night, she started complaining of stomach upset and was visiting toilet regularly. A few minutes to 7:00am, she went to the toilet to defecate but delivered a baby.”

Students name baby after VC

And as soon as the birth and survival of the baby became known on campus, students in their characteristic manner, launched into an unsolicited naming feast for the baby. Before the official naming ceremony scheduled to hold on Wednesday (tomorrow), OAU students have named him after the institution’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Bamitale Omole.

At the Anglo-Moz Car Park of the university, they gathered and named the baby Moremigbemi (Moremi-blesses-me), Oriyomi (My-head-saves-me), Oluwadayisi (God-protects-this), Eniolorunopa (He-who-God-does-not-kill), Bamitale (Be-with-me-permanently) Omole.

Others at the Moremi Hall named the baby Orisamoremi (Deity Moremi), Moremidayisi (Moremi-protects-this), Omomoremi (Child-of-Moremi), Olorunwa (God-exists), Oniyapupo (One-with-many-mothers) Moremioku (Moremi-is-alive), Iyabo (Mother-Moremi-is-Back), among others.

Moremi is a mythical legend of the Yoruba race.

We forced the door open to rescue Oyinlola and her baby – Cleaners
Also, the two cleaners, Mrs. Shipebi Grace and Mrs. Cecilia Ologbenla, in a chat with our correspondents, said there was no evidence to prove that Oyinlola wanted to kill her baby.

The cleaners noted that they had to force the door open when they were called to ensure the safety of Oyinlola and her baby who was crying.

According to them, the baby was in the water closet when they entered the toilet.

“She would not have wanted to attempt to kill the baby the way we saw her. She only panicked when we forced the door in. We had to force the door in because of the cry of the baby. In fact, it was one of them that came to call us, but you know some students are impatient. They didn’t confirm what happened before they started spreading rumour.”

But the undergraduate father keeps mum

Meanwhile, efforts made by our correspondents to speak with the baby’s father proved abortive. He is a 400 Level student of Mechanical Engineering, and is sitting for the second semester examination currently on at the institution.

One of his friends who spoke on the condition of anonymity explained that the young father is very sober about the development. The friend alleged that the young man and Rotimi had been friends for some time. Along the line, Oyinlola got pregnant and they decided not to abort it in order not to compound their ‘sin’

Laide Bakare may go to Jail

The last may not have been heard in the ongoing war between Nollywood popular actress, Laide Bakare and her estranged husband, Olumide Okunfulire. This is because US-based businessman has vowed to slug it out with the delectable actress over the paternity of the child she claimed to have bore for her new hubby, Tunde Oriowo.

The Ondo State-born dude has reportedly told his lawyers to institute a lawsuit against Laide. Olumighty, as Okunfulire is fondly called by friends, allegedly said that Laide will have to answer if truly she got court judgement, which dissolved their marriage before she got married to Oriowo, her new husband.

Olumide maintained that Laide’s new baby boy belongs to him, adding that she became pregnant in his house. He also claimed that the actress registered at the US hospital, where she eventually gave birth, with his name and Green Card.

With the way things are going, Laide might be charged for bigamy and if found guilty by the court, she risks jail term.

Industry sources told us that Okunfulire may drop charges against Laide if the actress realises her mistakes and beg for forgiveness.

“I can tell you that Olumide (Okunfulire) is only trying to shake Laide. He just wants to make life unbearable for her, Laide is aware of this, which is why she has not responded to the ‘noise’ Olumide has been making since the news of her child birth hit town,” a source informed us.

Meanwhile, those in the camp of Laide have disclosed that Tunde is the real father of the baby. They claimed that Laide and Tunde had been an item for sometime before they decided to solemnise the relationship with a secret wedding and that she was actually pregnant for him before then. Pictures were sent to us to back up the claim. The actress is still in the USA with her baby and new husband as at press time.

LAUTECH MURDER: How Seun Adaramoye Left the Hostel and Never Returned Alive…THE TRUE AND FULL STORY

In the last 72hrs, the story of Late Ms Seun Adaramoye who’s dead body was found behind a popular guest house in Ogbomosho has become an anthem on the lips of every students of Ladoke Akintola University Of Teachnology, LAUTECH, not excluding the buzz it has generated on social media platforms and several Blogs…

It was reported exclusively that the deceased boyfriend’s room was searched by the police and some items which includes locally made Calabash, Female Pants and more were recovered…..Though we had reported that the boyfriend has been arrested but apparently, he’s still at large which is confirmed and verified.

In other to get to the root of this sad story, we at porscheclassy took a step further by talking to one of Late Seun’s close friends and hostel mate who gave a proper account of how it all happened….Below is how it was been narrated by Ngozi(Not Real Name).

“Seun Adaramoye was an 100 level accounting student, she stayed in Stadium area around Lawyer Ahmed Junction, she’s a hostel mate and also my friend. On Sunday evening (16th of June), we were all gisting outside the hostel as we normally do and around 5pm, Seun just said she’s coming and left. She was on casual outfits like all of us, so we thought she had gone to the junction to buy stuffs but she went to her best friend’s place not far from the hostel.
“When Seun was leaving her best friend’s apartment, she told her that she wants to quickly get to her boyfriend’s place in Oke-Anu around 7pm on that same Sunday evening and that was the last time we both saw Seun.
“We didn’t even notice on time that she hasn’t returned cos she’s a female and no one can monitor a grown lady, so we assume that she should be with her boyfriend Lanre(REAL NAME) not until wednesday morning when Seun refused to show up for her last paper. Her friend came to check on her in the hostel and it was then that she informed us that Seun is no where to be found, we searched and searched for Seun but all to no avail.
On Thursday morning, we decided to report her dissappearance to the school authorities, that was when we heard the news of a dead body which was discovered at the back of Jastok Guest House…On getting there, we couldn’t identify the body because several parts of her body had been cut off, her breast, one hand, half her head was gone. We were eventually able to recognise Seun by her hairdo and mark on her leg, her birth mark and the remains of her cloth on the body.
So the police and the SUG were invited and they went after the boyfriend who had obviously absconded, so he has not been arrested as been speculated but his best friend was arrested. People thought he was arrested because of the search and the arrest of his best friend but he hasn’t been found till now, he’s gone into exile…On Searching Lanre’s house, the police found mysterious things like Calabash, Ladies Bra, Panties, Nails and several underwears.
Our friend Seun was NEVER a runs girl, she was a very gentle and loving soul, she was just unlucky to have fallen a victim of some desperate souls. She has since been buried by her brother here in Ogbomosho because the body was already decaying with worms all over and moreover it’s an uncompleted body and they won’t bury her like that in her hometown…May Her Soul RIP Forever”

After reading through her friend’s explanation, i couldn’t help but shed tears for the young and hopeful talent that has just been wasted; all thanks to the COVETOUS lifestyle of our today’s youths coupled with GREED and the EXTREME Love for Money…Isn’t it obvious when the bible said “The Love Of Money is the root of all Evils“.

We pray that Seun’s soul finds Eternal rest while we hope that Lanre, the prime suspect would be apprehended soonest.

NO STUDENT WAS KILLED IN OOU PROTEST

Just got this from a reliable source and after enough interrogation,i think i need to post it

Pls let us be mindful, the kind of information we pass across to people on our bbm list. For the fact that we have subscription on our blackberry does not makes us to be a news agency or journalist over night

Sequel to the peaceful protest that happened in OOU today that two students was killed, I want to categorically and emphatically assure you all that it was just a propaganda and a big fallacy which was only used so as to topple the tenure of Prof. Saburi. “No students was killed and no account for missing students” in d course of d protest. It was just unfortunate that some people are relating the death of Saheed and Ade which happened as a result of cultist rivalry on sunday afternoon 19th of may 2013 around 1:30pm @ odorasanyin north county bus stop, ijebu igbo area of ogun state,Saheed was rushed to a shilo hospital and was rejected said Our Source

Am highly disappointed in some of our news blogs;
I should have mention names but I just have 2use my discretion so as not to tarnish their image. Pls this is just a piece of advise for all of us… to every news there is a psychological effect, so therefore we shouldn’t send news that can give our relatives heart attack, hypertension or unnecessary worrisome. As a good journalist we have to confirm and ascertain our facts so as to defend our news before dishing it out to d audience. If u don’t know the ethics that surround journalism, pls and pls don’t spread “unconfirmed” information.
Finally I want to tell you this so that you can be convinced and not confused; if there is no peaceful protest it won’t be possible for the student that took d picture of the policemen and their Boss if truly there was an open fire… So pls disregard the information that two students was killed and several missing. i pray God should provide for those that haven’t paid their school fees and stabilize the pressure on OOU

Jonathan On The Verge Of Banning Blackberry In Nigeria [MUST READ]

Blackberry services could be at risk of being banned in the country as a new regulation by the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, will run counter to the technical operating standards of the phone’s distinct network.

National Mirror exclusively gathered yesterday that the telecoms regulator was working on a regulation, which would make it mandatory for any licensee in the nation’s telecoms market to provide access to its communications facilities for necessary interception by the law enforcement agencies.

To be called ‘Lawful interception of communications regulations”, the regulation, which is currently at the draft stage, is based on the need to provide a legal and regulatory framework for the lawful interception of communications in Nigeria and the collection and disclosure of intercepted communication.

It will also specify the nature and types of communications to be intercepted; prescribe penalties for noncompliance with the regulations; provide a notification to the commission of all warrants issued, amended, renewed or cancelled under the regulations as well as ensure the privacy of subscribers as contained in the Nigerian constitution. It was gathered that Section 13 of the regulation Protected or Encrypted Communications will run counter to the technical operations of Blackberry.

By their designs and unlike other mobile devices, Blackberry messages are encrypted and where criminal investigation is required, the law enforcement agents will face denial of access to Blackberry network.

Specifically, Section 13 of the regulation empowers the National Security Adviser, NSA, and the State Security Service, SSS, to request the disclosure of protected or encrypted communications.

According to the regulation: “Where the communications intercepted is an encrypted or protected communication, the licensee shall provide the National Security Adviser and the State Security Service with the key, code or access to the protected or encrypted communication.

“Where the key or code is in the possession of another person, the licensee shall be under an obligation to request such other person to disclose the key or code to the National Security Adviser and the State Security Service for the purpose of complying with a warrant.” The regulation, under Section 20, also specifies the penalties for contravention.

“If a licensee or any of its officers, manager, chief executive officer, secretary or other similar officers of the licensee required under this regulation fails to comply with the provision of this regulations, such licensee or its officers shall be liable to a fine of N5m. If such an offence is continuing, such a licensee or officer shall be liable to a daily default penalty of N500,000.” The regulation clearly states that the commission may revoke the licence of the licensee for failure to comply with the regulation.

“The commission shall give a prior written notice to the licensee of such revocation, not less than 30 days to the withdrawal of the licensee.” Also, the commission may institute an action for non-compliance through injunction or specific performance or any or such other judicial means of enforcing a duty or obligation imposed on a licensee pursuant to the regulations.

However, Blackberry messenger, email and web services are sent over an encrypted network and the company maintains a strict policy of non-disclosure of pass codes or keys to government officials.

Last year, officials of Blackberry said the Blackberry users in Nigeria were about three million and these individuals face an uncertain future in case of possible revocation of Blackberry licence by the regulator, given its stern position not to release the key to its encrypted network to any government officials.

Blackberry has continued to face widespread concern over its strong data encryption, which is beloved by corporate customers eager to guard secrets, but troublesome for some governments in the Middle East and Asia that it could be used by militants to avoid detection.

It will be recalled that between 2010 and 2011, Indian government threatened to ban Blackberry over the phone manufacturer’s failure to provide access to customers’ corporate e-mails to the government.

The Indian government request for access to the Blackberry network was part of a broader effort by the country’s intelligence to monitor security threats made via mobile phones and the internet. Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates had also in 2010 threatened to cut off Blackberry services due to its encryption policy.

National Mirror also gathered that the NCC’s current move was in line with strategic measures of the Federal Government to ensure maximum national security by providing a legal framework that empowers the law enforcements agencies to access any licensed communication network in the country.

Man Sentenced To 45 Years In Prison For Stealing Governor’s Phone

An Osogbo High Court yesterday sentenced a 31-year-old man, Kelvin Igha-Igbodalo to 45 years imprisonment without an option of fine for stealing a Sony Ericson phone belonging to Osun State Governor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola.

Igha-Igbodalo is alleged to have stolen Aregbesola’s phone during the swearing-in ceremony of the governor in 2010. The convict used the phone to dupe many unsuspecting people by directing them to pay money into a particular bank account on pretext that it was the governor’s directive. Click to continue.

The ex-convict was eventually arrested and charged with six counts of conspiracy, obtaining properties by false pretence, stealing, impersonation and advance free fraud. Igha-Igbodalo pleaded guilty to the charges slammed against him and Justice Oyejide Falola sentenced him to 45 years imprisonment to run concurrently without an option of fine.

Daily Trust learnt that the ex-convict had earlier served six years imprisonment at Ikoyi prison in Lagos over a murder charge leveled against him.

According to the charge sheet, “Kelvin and others now at large in May 24th, 2011 impersonated the governor by using his phone with intent to defraud, and obtained the sum of N500,000 from his royal majesty, Oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran, Owa-Obokun of Ijesha land”.

The prosecution, Mr. Biodun Badiora, told the court that the convict committed an offence contrary to section 8(c) and is punishable under section 1(3) of the Advance Free Fraud and other related offences Act, 2006.

Counsel to the convict, Mr. Ameachi Ngwu, prayed the court to commit the convict to community service.

RCCG’s Pastor Adeboye: A private jet is necessary for God’s work

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E.A Adeboye has responded to criticism which hit him after purchasing a private jet, saying it is“necessary”for God’s work.

In an interview with Al-Jazeera, Daddy G.O., as he is fondly called, said“There are things you need as a General Overseer…When you have to oversee churches in 160 countries, you can’t do that on a bicycle.”
It is becoming quite a trend amongst pastors these days, leading to condemnation of the profession from most of the masses

ABSURD! Worshiper Gives Used Condom As Offering In Church

Offering time, blessing time!” So goes the chorus from members of the congregation whenever it’s time to give offering in most churches.

To most Christians, the offering time is, indeed, a time of immense financial blessing. But recently, the offering time turned into a moment of hot curses in a Lagos church when an already used condom, dripping with semen, was discovered inside the offering box after the Sunday service.

It was like a weird dream, according to the former Chairman, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Ogba Zone, Prophet Tobi Okonkwo, who witnessed the incident. The cleric said he couldn’t believe his eyes when a discarded condom, with stains, was discovered in an envelope in the offertory box of his former church.

When Pope Paul VI warned on June 29, 1972 that the smoke of Satan had entered the church, not many Christians took the warning seriously.

With this recent incident, Okonkwo admitted that the agents of darkness had infiltrated the churches in large numbers and now occupy high-ranking positions in the gathering of God’s children, where they wreak untold havoc on the unwary flock.

Okonkwo, who is also the General Overseer of Living Word Prayer Assembly, Agege, Lagos, wept over man’s ingratitude to God during a recent monthly thanksgiving programme of the church, tagged Manna from Heaven.

Although the service was a joyful moment where the shepherd distributes food items and other gifts to his flock, his startling revelation brought a hush of silence on the congregation.

His words pierced the hearts of the worshippers, as he explained how man had become ungrateful to divine benevolence. His several instances of the atrocities committed in hallowed places pointed to the fact that messengers from hell now walked about freely in hallowed places. “It is really bad.

It has got to a point where some people come to the church to mock God. They are anti-Christ but they still go to church. You could imagine how somebody came to the church and decided to give a used condom in an envelope to God.

You can see how wicked man has become,” he said. Okonkwo said the giver of the abominable gift refused to confess his crime, even when the entire church rained curses profusely on whosoever was responsible.

He said, “A curse was laid on the person. Even before the people laid the curse, God had already seen the abomination committed in his house by someone, who pretended he came to the church to worship God.”

The former PFN leader warned other members of the church of the reality of the anti-Christ, whose reign would usher ungodliness in the world. He lamented that prosperity message has taken over the pulpit at the neglect of the gospel of repentance, which had enslaved many hearts in pleasure and love of the world.

According to him, most Christians hunger for sermons that promise easy wealth, while rejecting teachings that encourage chastity, discipline, endurance and faithfulness.

“The style of the anti-Christ is to mock Jesus. Many Christians today are crucifying Christ a second time. It’s really sad and unfortunate,” he said. The cleric decried the approval of same sex marriage by different countries, describing the constitutional recognition accorded to such couples as an indication of the reign of anti-Christ in the world.

Rather than milk his members dry, Okonkwo said he introduced a programme, Manna from Heaven, to feed the flock of Christ with the little he could afford. He said the programme involved sharing of bags of rice, noodles and other foodstuff on equal measures to all the members to inculcate in them the love for sharing and concern for their suffering neighbour.

Okonkwo also berated some pastors who, according to him, start Christian ministries and involve themselves in dubious things all in a bid to acqu

It is quite unfortunate,” he said. Aside the sacrileges committed in churches, Okonkwo, who had earlier predicted the emergence of Jonathan as President during the ailing days of late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, also frowned at the various scandals rocking political offices and other sectors of the economy.

He said most Nigerians have lost the sense of sanity, citing the many cases of corruption in the country. According to him, no day passes without the disclosure of one fresh set of financial scandal or the other.

He lamented that the financial blood of the country was being drained by some thieving elite with no interest of the masses at heart. Although Okonkwo foreclosed the chances of possible disintegration of the country, he warned corrupt leaders to repent or face the wrath of heaven.

According to him, only selfless leaders would bring the nation back from the brink of monumental crisis and repair the ruins caused by corruption and bad leadership in the country.

8 Men sleep with me everyday- 13 yr Old girl speaks

A 13-year old Junior Secondary School, JSS3 pupil, (name withheld) has confessed that an average of eight men slept with her daily in a hotel in Sango Ota, Ogun State, Southwest Nigeria after she was forced into prostitution

The daughter of a deceased police officer who hailed from Edo State, said she was lured into prostitution by a woman who used to sell clothes to her mother at their Kareem Street, Ahmadiyya, Ijaiye-Ojokoro, Lagos residence.

For about a month that the teenager was lured into prostitution in the hotel, her abductor, Rosemary Ekpolor, also pretended to be looking for her along with the victim’s mother.

However, nemesis caught up with Rosemary, also from Edo State, Southsouth Nigeria, when the police at Oke Odo Division in Lagos State got to know that the missing 13-year old girl was one of the prostitutes their counterparts in Ogun State arrested earlier. She was nabbed with five of her accomplices.

The discovery later led to the arrest of Rosemary whom police said has no fixed address. She was nabbed with five of her accomplice.

Narrating her ordeal, the little girl said: “I was coming from home to my mother’s shop at U-Turn Abule-Egba area where she sells food and I ran into a woman, sister Rosemary, who normally sold clothes to my mother and she told me to follow her. I obeyed because I know her.

“She then took me into a bus and we arrived at a hotel in Sango where she introduced me to two men called Fatai Akoko and Olori-Ebi. And immediately she gave me a key to a room which was dirty and smelling and she put a wig on my head, which she said was to make me look older.

“On my first day at the hotel, Alhaji Mallam deflowered me and before he did it I struggled with him but he overpowered me. I went through hell. After Being Intimate with him, much blood was coming out of my private part and I quickly came out of the room to call Aunty Rosemary and she went out and brought a white handkerchief which she used in cleaning the blood.

“Eight men slept with me everyday. They paid me N800 each and those who slept with me overnight paid N1,500 each. After the men had slept with me, Aunty Rosemary would give me Ampiclox to swallow. I begged her to let me go home that I was too small for this but she beat me. Now I feel pains in my private part any time I urinate

Husband, Mother-In-Law Arrested For Slicing Wife’s Throat

Endurance Ajisegiri’s family got a call on Sunday April 14th from her husband, Isaac Ajisegiri, informing them that she had died at their home in the Shasha area of Lagos the previous day and he had taken her corpse to the mortuary. Endurance’s family immediately called the police.

According to friends of the late woman. Endurance and Isaac were married for four years and had one child together. They also ran a business together, an education consulting firm. Sometime last year, Endurance found out that her husband was having an affair with one of their employees and this caused serious problems between them. Endurance eventually moved out of her matrimonial home with her 2 year old daughter.

On Saturday morning April 13th, Isaac’s friend, a guy named Stanley came to pick Endurance from her office, saying that her in-laws (mother-in-law and sister-in-law) were waiting for her at her husband’s house and wanted to resolve some issues with her. Endurance went with Stanley.

The following day, her corpse was deposited at Crystal Hospital by Isaac. Her throat had been slit with a knife from inside her kitchen. Isaac told police that endurance killed herself with the knife after a serious argument. Isaac, his mother and sister (who slept in the house that night) are now in police custody. Stanley is no where to be found. The case is being handled by the Homicide Department of the State Criminal Investigation Department.

10 Killed In Clash Between Christians And Muslims In Plateau

Leaders in two villages in Plateau State say at least 10 people have been killed in attacks between the Christians and Muslims living there.

The killings began over the weekend between the Jukun people of Plateau state, a Muslim ethnic group, and the Tarok people, who are Christian.

A community leader for the Junkun, Jawka Baba, said late Monday the Tarok burned down homes in his village and killed six people. Jongle Lohbut, a Tarok community leader, said four people were killed by the Jukun.

A military spokesman said he was aware of the fighting between the two groups.

The attacks centred around the volatile city of Jos, where thousands have been killed since 1999. Religion, politics, grazing rights and economic power all play a role in the violence.

As a precautionary measure in preventing the escalation of the crisis to neighbouring villages, an emergency meeting among representatives of the Taroh, Jukun, Bogghom, Jama’atul nasril Islam, Hausa, Fulani and Jarawa communities.

According to the Plateau State commissioner of Information and Communications, Abraham Yiljap resolutions taken at the meeting include:

1. Stakeholders committed themselves to return home and speak to all other stakeholders to implement an immediate cessation of hostilities;
2. They condemned the illegal use of firearms and called on all communities to seek alternative and peaceful methods of conflict resolution;
3. They have resolved to fight criminality in all its manifestation such as looting of property, cattle rustling, armed robbery and to expose people involved in such acts for appropriate action;
4. Stakeholders also agreed to encourage communities to communicate useful information in a timely manner to the security agencies for immediate action;
5. They called on the appropriate government agencies to extend aid to the internally displaced persons who are taking refuse in different parts of the zone;
6. Traditional rulers were encouraged to see and treat all subjects within their areas of influence as their own, and avoid every form of discrimination.

Pastor Atunde Has Been Raping Me Since I Was 10 ––14yrs Old Orphan Girl

Innocent girls at the Light of Hope Orphanage has finally describe how the owner of the orphanage, Pastor Olatayo Atunde, raped them repeatedly. From outside, the Light of Hope Orphanage in Akute looks like every other orphange. But the things that go on inside are gory:

“Daddy started sleeping with me when I was 10. I have two blood brothers at the orphanage who I reported to but they have not been able to do anything about it. On one occasion, when he was sleeping with me, I ran into another room but he chased me and warned me never to run away from him again.” ––said one of the girls he allegedly raped.
According to Punch, the orphanage which was founded in 1996 by Pastor Atunde receives donations from multinational companies, non-governmental organisations, and other concerned members of the public who were deceived to believe that Pastor Atunde has genuine love for the vulnerable children.

However, recent sexual allegations by some of the female inmates have shattered the positive image the orphanage once enjoyed. It all started when two young girls from the home told their secondary school teacher that they were raped by Daddy (Pastor Atunde), who runs the facility.

One of the orphans 14-year-old Atinuke [not real name] confirmed that he slept with her and many other girls at the orphanage. Atinuke, who is now in custody of an NGO – Project Alert on Violence Against Women – said she lost her virginity to Pastor Atunde at the age of 10 and has lost count of the number of times he has had sex with her.

She said, “I also reported the matter to the orphanage administrator, Aunty Hannah, and she said she would address the matter but daddy continued to rape me. Daddy usually raped us around 2am in his room. His wife does not always sleep in his room. She sleeps at the crèche where the younger orphans are staying.”

Pastor Atunde was also alleged to have sacked one of the employees at the orphanage that dared to challenge him. Another orphan, Salewa [not real name], told Punch that she was barely 12 when he started having sexual relations with her.

She said she had a sister at the orphanage who was in the university. Salewe disclosed that she had also caught Pastor Atunde having sex with another orphan.

“Daddy has been having sex with at least 10 of us. We are mostly between the ages of 8 and 14. I reported to Aunty Hannah and when she challenged daddy, he laid a curse on me,” she said.

Pastor Atunde has been released by the police, they say they are investigating.

Buut a resident, who is an employee of the orphanage told Punch that, “After Atunde’s release, he hired some trucks to move the orphans to different locations so that if the state government shuts down the orphanage, he would still be able to operate directly or through a representative.

“Atunde receives donations from banks, multinationals, churches and other members of the public and the smartest thing for him to do right now, is to relocate the children and open another orphanage in a different name if possible. Most of the girls were relocated to another property within the area while others were taken to the Shangisha area of Lagos State. The police should not have granted him a bail.

Friday is usually a special day many Muslim families look forward to, but to the members of the Bello family of Bayeku area of Ikorodu, Lagos State, Friday, April 6, 2013 will remain fresh in their memories for some time to come.

That was the day four members of the family and a neighbour died prematurely in an auto crash. A five months old baby of the family escaped the incident unhurt.

Prior to that day, the family had planned triple celebrations: their daughter’s graduation ceremony, car dedication of their son and the head of the family’s trip abroad alongside the matriachax. All the plans came to nought as a result of the tragedy.

The head of the family, popularlly called Alhaji Bello, was a prominent figure in Bayeku following his sponsorship of many Muslim programmes including the recent turbanning of the first Imam of the community which took place the Sunday preceding his sudden death.

As part of the arrangements for the trip abroad, Alhaji Bello had placed a change of name notice in Vanguard which was published on the day of crash. The family had not even bought a copy of the paper before the accident occurred around 12noon at Agbowa-Ikosi area of Lagos State.

Five persons including the five month old baby were in one of the cars the family members were travelling in while two others were in another as they headed for the graduation ceremony of their daughter at a tertiary educational institution in Ogun State.

All the five persons in one car with the exception of the baby: Alhaji Bello, his daughter- in- law and her parents, together with a neighbour, died while the matriach and her son in the other car survived.

An eye witness, Madam Kehinde Olufade, said the family had had a smooth journey until they approached a crater at Ikosi where motorists had to slow down. But due to the dilapidated nature of Agbowa road, a trailer left its own side of the road and faced the car Alhaji Bello was driving, forcing him to manouver before a tipper rammed into him from behind. The car landed in a ditch.

‘’As soon as the car landed in the ditch, the tipper also lost control and fell on top of the car killing the four members of the family and their neighbour on the spot. The Bellos daughter-in-law, who was carrying her five months old baby at the time of incident, died while the baby miraculously survived”,the eye witness narrated

When the news of their demise filtered into their community, it unsettled residents. The community development association (CDA) wanted the victims buried before sunset in accordance with Muslim tradition, but some indigenes countered them, saying some rituals must be performed before the arrival of the corpses in the community as the death of the family members portended a bad omen.

Photos- Wife Storms Church, Scatters Husband’s Wedding To Another Lady

This sounds like something out of a movie, but it’s real life. . Nollywood actor, Solomon Akiyesi married Lilian Akiyesi seven years ago, after the two dated for six years. . So they’ve been together for thirteen years. After trying for years to conceive, Lilian finally got pregnant last year…but unknown to her, her husband was having an affair with a Lagos based lady. (Lilian and Solomon are based in Port Harcourt).

Solomon’s Lagos based girlfriend got pregnant and the two started planning a wedding that was supposed to take place today April 13th. Fortunately for Lilian, she got wind of the wedding plans just days ago. And according to what her friend told me, Solomon sent money to Lilian just yesterday Friday April 12th and promised to return home next week. He told Lilian that he was in Lagos to shoot a movie.

When Lilian confirmed the wedding was really going to happen today, she contacted the police, took some family members and friends and stormed the wedding venue – Overcomers World Outreach located at Overcomers Close, off Ramlat Timson str, in Aguda, Surulere.

Lilian, who is eight months pregnant, stormed the church and managed to stop the wedding before the pastor could pronounce her husband and his mistress ‘husband and wife’. The police were later called to return sanity to the place..

The Oyo State Police Command on Wednesday confirmed the death of a 13- year old boy who allegedly committed suicide when asked to go and read his books.

After a search was conducted, he was later discovered where he hung himself.

“Zachaus told the police that he raised an alarm when he observed that the victim’s body was still warm as he immediately untied him.

“He rushed the boy to Adeoyo State Hospital, Ring Road, Ibadan, for medical attention, but he was later confirmed dead by the doctors,” she said.

Rev. Chris Oyakhilome’s Secrets

Secret documents link family and associates of one of Africa’s most popular pastors, Nigerian televangelist the Rev. Chris Oyakhilome, to an offshore company in the British Virgin Islands.

A business associate of the pastor says some directors in the company held shares on behalf of the pastor’s daughters, Sharon and Charlyn, who are now teenagers.

The company in question is Gmobile Nigeria Limited, an offshore firm incorporated in 2007 in a Caribbean tax haven, the British Virgin Islands, according to a cache of documents reviewed by Premium Times and the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ). The shareholders listed in the documents include Oyakhilome’s wife, Anita; another pastor in his organization, Thomas Amenkhienan; a business associate, Aigobomian Inegbedion; and another British Virgin Islands’ company, GTMT International Group Limited.

He has also set up satellite broadcast channels in the United Kingdom (LoveWorld TV), South Africa (LoveWorld SAT) and Nigeria (LoveWorld Plus). He hosts a TV show, Atmosphere for Miracles, which airs on television networks in Africa, North America, Australia, Asia and Europe, according to his church’s website.

His church has a series of business interests, the website says, that include vibrant TV and Internet ministries and a publishing outfit that churns out the popular “Rhapsody of Realities” booklet, which is like a second Bible to members of his church.

He is as controversial as he is entrepreneurial. Critics believe he is excessively flamboyant, dressing most of the time in expensive suits, top-of-the-range shirts and ties and exotic shoes.

Some of his critics have alleged that he has staged miracles, bringing forth impotent men, infertile women and people with AIDS who testified they’d been instantly healed. In the wake of controversy over faith-healing practices by Oyakhilome and other pastors, the Nigerian government banned unverified miracles from television in 2004.

His wife, Anita, is also a pastor in the church. She heads the international division of the ministry and is regularly credited with growing the church’s presence around the world.

Until now, there has never been any suggestion that she was involved in financial dealings.

Documents reviewed by ICIJ and Premium Times show that Anita Oyakhihome held 17, 750 of Gmobile’s 50,000 shares, with Amenkhienan owning 1,500 and Inegbedion 750. The fourth shareholder, GTMT International, also a British Virgin Islands’ company, owned by South African investors, held 30,000 shares.

The documents show that some of these individuals held shares in trust for two minors. The records don’t identify the minors, but Inegbedion confirmed that the minors referred to in the documents were the Oyakhilomes’ daughters, quickly adding that there was nothing wrong with that.

“Their parents bought the shares for them because they have rights to own shares,” Mr. Inegbedion said. “A day-old child has a right to own shares in companies.” He declined to say which of Gmobile directors held shares in trust for the girls.

The Oyakhilomes did not respond to emails sent to their personal and church websites.

Setting Up Gmobile

In 2007 Anita Oyakhilome and her partners retained the services of a Dubai-based company, Covenant Management Consultancy (CML), to help it register Gmobile Nigeria Limited in the British Virgin Islands (BVI), a Caribbean chain largely controlled by the United Kingdom. On June 26, 2007, CML in turn approached BVI-based Commonwealth Trust Limited (CTL) to complete the task of setting an offshore company.

After some preliminaries – including name checks and consultation with lawyers – CML’s Susha George wrote to CTL’s Shonia Mathew on July 3 giving her the go-ahead to incorporate Gmobile. In that same two-paragraph message, George informed CTL “two shareholders of this company are minors.” She also asked whether additional documents or procedures were needed for the minors to be owners of the company.

Mathew replied the same day, saying that shares of the company could only be held in trust for the minors.

“Please note if the beneficial owners are minors, then the shares would need to be held in Trust for them until they are of age to act in that capacity,” she wrote, adding that “it may be wise to contact an attorney regarding the formalities of the company.”

Seven days after Gmobile’s incorporation, company records show, shares were issued to Anita Oyakhilome, Amenkhienan, Inegbedion and GTMT Limited, a BVI company.

Another curious aspect of the company, which became dormant on May 1, 2009, was the makeup of its board of directors. Its first director was not a human being but another offshore company, Covenant Managers Limited, an offshore firm also set up by Dubai-based Covenant Consultancy Limited in July 2005 to offer nominee services to corporations and individuals incorporating companies in the BVI. In the offshore world, nominee directors or shareholders serve as stand-ins that allow the real people behind companies to keep their identities hidden.

As first director, Covenant Managers approved the opening of a bank account in the United Arab Emirates or any other place in the world. It is not known in which bank the account was eventually opened nor whether it was used to move funds.

After Covenant Managers officially resigned, GTMT directors were brought on board together with Anita Oyakhilome, Inegbedion and Amenkhienan as directors. They were Willem Johannes Jacobus Van Der Merwe, Karen Ann Smith and Daniel John William Mills. Reporting by Premium Times determined that Van Der Merwe, Smith and Mills were based in South Africa but we could not ascertain how they came to be associated with the Oyakhilome clan.

Inegbedion said the idea of incorporating Gmobile in a tax haven was suggested by the South Africans, who he said argued that BVI was an ideal neutral ground for the business partnership the Oyakhilomes were forging with GTMT to carry out the business of distributing data compression software in Nigeria.

“We were looking for a neutral ground where both parties could feel safe,” Inegbedion said in a telephone interview. “So we had to go to British Virgin Islands. But it was our partners who handled the registration.”

The only South African partner Premium Times was able to track down, Karen Ann Smith, declined to comment on the formation and businesses of Gmobile. “You are on the wrong trip, guy, as I’m not interested in talking about that business,” Mrs. Smith said on telephone. When she was pressed for details, she said, “You are wasting my time, as I have no interest in speaking to you.”

Fleeting Appearance

Gmobile does not appear to have carried out any business in Nigeria, South Africa or the BVI. Inegbedion and another individual who identified himself as Danny Mills made a fleeting appearance before journalists in Lagos in October 2007, almost four months after Gmobile was registered in the BVI, to say the firm was unveiling a GMobile product which allows users to maximize data storage and make an array of communications and services possible.

Danny Mills was introduced as the international sales director of Gmobile, while Inegbedion was introduced as chief operating officer of an unknown firm, LW GNet Nigeria.

Apparently, nothing has been heard of that product since that event. Today, Inegbedion introduces himself on his Facebook page as managing director of Paradigm Biz Solution Limited, a company the Nigerian Corporate Affairs Commission also says does not exist in its database.

Remmy Nweke, a well-regarded Lagos-based communications reporter, was among those who covered Gmobile’s press conference at the time. “Well, they came and met the media and said they were rolling out an irresistible product,” Mr. Nweke said via telephone. “But that was the last we heard of them. They simply disappeared.”

Inegbedion said Gmobile was unable to roll out the product because the company’s partners in South Africa failed to deliver after his team, led by Anita Oyakhilome, paid $1.8 million for a distribution license.

To all appearances, Gmobile was simply a failed business venture. But other companies incorporated in tax havens such as the BVI have become known for involvement with illegal activities, including money laundering and tax evasion.

Taking advantage of the loose laws in several jurisdictions, offshore companies are easy to form in tax havens and owners can remain anonymous while using nominee directors as fronts and deploying the corporations to hide ill-gotten assets, launder funds, dodge litigation or evade taxes. Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, for example, was convicted of stealing public funds while he was governor of the oil-rich Nigerian state of Bayelsa. The state recovered more than 17 million British pounds from him, including assets he held through Solomon and Peters Limited (a company registered in the BVI) and Santolina Investment Corp. (a company incorporated in the Seychelles). Last month, he received a presidential pardon. Nigeria’s anti-corruption agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, has also accused another ex-governor, Abubakar Audu, of using two offshore companies in Bermuda (another tax haven) to hide ill-gotten assets. Audu denies the allegations.

Dealing with a questionable firm

The BVI Financial Services Commission found CTL, the offshore services firm that helped the Oyakhilomes to incorporate Gmobile, to be in repeated violation of the BVI’s anti-money laundering law between 2003 and 2008.

Thomas Ward, a co-founder of CTL who has worked as a consultant to the firm since it was sold to the new owners in 2009, said the company worked hard to make sure it didn’t take on shady clients.

“We believe we chose our clients carefully and we believe they honoured their agreements with us,” he said. But at times CTL’s staff was “either deceived or previously honest customers changed.”

United States Back Amnesty for Boko Haram.

The planned amnesty for the dreaded Boko Haram sect by the
Federal Government has received the backing of the
United States of America. The Political Counsellor at the
Embassy of the USA, Gregory Lawless, said on Wednesday in
Abuja that the American government would support
amnesty for Boko Haram if it was the solution to ending
violence in the north and other parts of the country. We think it is a positive development. We will work with Nigerian government as it
develops its own policy approach as to counter violent
extremism, Lawless said in a response to a question about
the US position on the amnesty the Nigerian government was
planning to grant the Islamic sect at a teleconference on US-
Nigerian Binational Commission. He added, Security concerns in Nigeria would be addressed
through our regional security cooperation working group as
part of the Bi-National
Commission. We are looking at a holistic
approach to address the unmet grievances of the population,
especially in the north. Through that mechanism, we
think by broadening the scope of response to violent extremism, we believe that we
will be addressing some of those issues in a more fundamental way.
Counting the successes achieved
so far by the bi-national commission, Lawless said the
two countries had agreed to explore a partnership with the
Nigerian Army to build its civil
affairs capacity and to build trust between Nigeria’s citizens
and the military.
He added, We agreed to collaborate further to build on Nigeria’s amnesty programme
by advancing economic development and environmental
protection of the Delta. We also
committed to partner with Nigeria to enhance regional
maritime security and to reduce the inflow of small arms and
light weapons….

Everybody smokes Igbo but Jesse Jagz own is too much- Choc city

Jesse Jagz on Wednesday, March 30, 2012 via his personal Facebook account shocked fans worldwide when he categorically stated that he was taking a voluntary exit from his label Chocolate City . His statement: I, Jesse Garba Abaga (also known as Jesse Jagz) an artist formerly signed to Chocolate City Music label hereby wishes to notify my fans and the general public about my voluntary exit from the label. After my initial two year contractual agreement with Chocolate City, I do not wish to renew my contract with them and as such have proceeded to continue my music career with my new team at Jesse Jagz Nation. I still maintain a cordial relationship with the management of Chocolate City and my former label mates and I wish them the best in all their future endeavours. Any further information will be passed across through my publicist but until then, have a good day. Look out for my sophomore album JagZNation Vol. 1 coming out in July 2013 . This comes as a sudden shock to everyone including some staff and executives at Chocolate City but those in the know will tell you this was long expected. Close sources to Jesse Jagz and Chocolate City tell us there had been an ungoing war between the Wetin dey singer and the popular label. Jagz, one source told NET, was fed up with the way the label was handling his career and decided to frustrate them in return. Jagz last release was his debut album in May 2010, after then he sort of went into comatose, save for his production of Ice Prince and BrymOs albums in 2011 and 2012 and a few minor releases, we might not have noticed his presence. Chocolate City have a one-year/one-artiste project run , a staff at Chocolate City tells NET. (2008-2009 was M.I, then 09-10 was Jesse, 10-11 was M.I again, 11-12 was Ice Prince, 12-13 was for Brymo, this years run 13-14 was meant to be for Jesse Jagz). But Chocolate City signed three new acts Pryse, Nosa and Victoria Kimani and started concentrating on the last two when they noticed Jesse had started giving them trouble, our source adds. Jesse would refuse to go to the labels studio at Lekki Phase 1, he and the other choc boys M.I and Ice Prince had built separate studios in their Palmgroove, Lagos residence. Jesse just kept making music, a lot of music, over 100 songs. Then there were allegedly two strong claims the label made against Jargo; the first that he owed a lot of money. Choc City said Jargo owed them money, there were several cases where he would travel to the North for a gig and wouldnt bring back anything to the label. At times, he would claim they paid him just to appear and that didnt hold under his contractual agreement. The second was his alleged substance abuse. There are very strong claims that Jesse Jagz, a truly talented rapper and producer, is addicted to Marijuana. Everybody smokes igbo but Jesses own was too much! He would be reeking of Igbo smell when he came up to the studio to hang out. Dont you see his Instagram photos, dont you read his revolutionary tweets? He thinks hes Fela or Bob Marley for Christs sake! Sources say Sola Oladebo, Jesses manager for the last three years, is tired of the whole situation. Sola is tired, fed up but cant leave him now, he has invested too much time in Jargo. At a time, there was nothing to do as Jesse career was dormant, so when Choc City fired Ice Princes former manager in 2012, they made Sola the interim manager. We are told till the night of his shocking announcement, elder brother M.I and the other Choc Boys were unaware of his self-imposed exit. M.I had just released his comeback single for his next album The Chairman when Jesse dropped the bombshell. M.I was as shocked as everyone else. Hes not happy Jesse did not tell him of the situation first. He has erased all thoughts of leaving Choc City now as a sign to show loyalty, a friend to M.I says. An insider told us over the weekend, that the last straw that broke the camels back was when Audu Maikori, top exec at the label summoned him via E-mail, he simply replied with two words F**k You. Maikori could not be reached and we are told that following Jagz statement, he immediately contacted all staff (including artistes) and instructed them not to speak to the press. Attempts to reach him and other staff at the label through emails, phone calls and text messages have been unsuccessful. Jesses manager could not be reached for comments as his mobile phone was switched off. Will other acts follow suit? An insider tells us Watch out for Brymo, he might also throw in the towel soon. He had issues with Vice Presido M.I in 2012, he also has grown wings, you can never tell. But there are the likes of M.I and Ice Prince – two prized acts at the successful label who have publicly assured fans Choc City will remain home for a long time. Jesse Jagz, 28, signed to the label along with his elder brother Jude M.I Abaga in 2008 after the gifted rapper became an instant success with his debut Talk About It. Jesse Jagz in late 2009 went on to release his debut Jagz of All Trades which spurned the hit songs Wetin dey amongst other chart topping cuts.
